  Student Advisory Committees

Alliance of Students Against Poverty (ASAP) cares about your voice.  To ensure each one of our members has the opportunity to contribute to the success of ASAP, we have created Student Advisory Committees, which collect, process and aggregate shared ideas and concerns.  These committees  help develop our technology, keep us better connected, expand our outreach and make certain we are in the news and that your work is noticed.

Each Advisory Committee consists of four university students and two high school students and is chaired by one of the six members.  Committee members actively solicit ideas and opinions from ASAP members, and present the findings and recommendations to ASAP central.  In turn, ASAP central works with Advisory Committees to implement recommendations in alignment with ASAP’s mission and strategic plan.

We are presently seeking our founding ASAP Student Advisory Committees and are filling all committee positions.  If you are ready to get involved, please fill out the following application

Technology: Ensure ASAP’s website and other technology resources are up to speed with student needs.

Marketing: Help develop ASAP’s brand.  Keep ASAP in the news and highlight student successes.

Education: Assist in the development of learning materials and resources to educate ASAP’s members.

Outreach: Create strategies to reach more students worldwide.

Fundraising: Create and test fundraising activities that can be replicated by ASAP members.

Annual Conference: Plan, organize and lead ASAP’s annual conference each fall.
