  Build Awareness

Objective: Build awareness throughout the world about those living in extreme poverty.

Goals: 2007-2008 School Year

  1. Share the ASAP message with 5,000 university students, 10,000 high school students, 15,000 middle school students and 20,000 elementary school students.
  2. Share the ASAP message with 25,000 Americans.

ASAP’s members are some the world’s most energetic, passionate and caring individuals.  As such, they are taking every opportunity to share the ASAP message with those around them.  The ASAP message is simply:

  1. Over 1/6 of humanity lives in extreme poverty or on less than $1/day.
  2. The practical solutions and interventions needed to eradicate extreme poverty by the year 2025 are currently available.
  3. $1/day donation over the course of one year will start one family on the path out of extreme poverty.

ASAP members bring this message to their families, friends, peers and neighbors.  As chapters and clubs, ASAP members bring the message to elementary and middle schools, and other universities and high schools.  They share it with their local churches, businesses and community members.  They are committed to building awareness of extreme poverty so that others may have opportunities to overcome it.

“We should be taught not to wait      for inspiration to start a thing.      Action always generates      inspiration. Inspiration seldom      generates action.
